PAC is a kind of high efficient water purification agent，can sterilization, deodorant, decolorization. Because of its characteristics advantages, wide application range, the dosage can be reduced more than 30% than traditional water purifying agent, and the cost saving more than 40%, it has become excellent water purifying agent recognized at home and abroad. Besides, Polymeric aluminum chloride can also be used for the purification of drinking water and tap water supply and other special water treatment, such as iron removal, cadmium removal, fluoride removal, radioactive pollutant removal, oil slick removal ect. In recent years, PAC has developed into water purification agent which has mature technology and large sale market , and will replace traditional water purification agent gradually.
   
At present, the PAC annual production is about 600,000 tons(in terms of 30% Alumina content in the solid product), of which China about 180,000 tons, Japan about 200,000 tons. The application of polymeric aluminum chloride in Europe has accounted for 70% of the entire municipal water treatment market, Japan about 90%. The primary water purification agent used in Chinese market are polymerized aluminum chloride, aluminum sulfate, ferric chloride ect. of which PAC occupy more than 60% of the domestic water purification agent market. It is one of the key development environment-friendly product of national “10th five year” plan.
 
In our country PAC is mainly used in industrial sewage, tap water supply purification and other fields, these two areas consumption account for 70% of the total consumption. Account for more than 40% in the purification of industrial sewage; Account for about 30% in the Tap water supply purification and sewage treatment; Account for 20%in the industrial water recycling and purification of river reservoir; other account for 10%.With the further improvement of the national environmental management requirements, the PAC using will remain substantial increase in the industrial wastewater treatment.
